The Department of Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering recognizes and honors ISE alumni, faculty, and friends who have achieved notable accomplishments in the realms of professionalism, technical expertise, education, or service. These achievements not only distinguish the individuals themselves, but also bring distinction to the department and the university as a whole.
Award Descriptions
ISE Alumni Service Award
The Alumni Service Award is bestowed upon ISE alumni, faculty, and friends that have distinguished themselves in service to the profession, their communities that bring pride to the Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering department.
- Demonstrates extraordinary commitment, dedication, service, and loyalty to the Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering department.
- Exceptional service in local, state, or national affairs.
- Exceptional service in support of the advancement and continued excellence of UIUC/ISE
ISE Young Alumni Excellence Award
Is given to alumni who have made outstanding contributions in one or more of the following ways and are under the age of 40:
- Exceptional accomplishment in chosen field.
- Exceptional service in local, state, or national affairs.
- Exceptional service in support of the advancement and continued excellence of UIUC/ISE.
ISE Alumni Excellence in Academia
Recognizes outstanding individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development and core mission of the Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering department by their professional achievements, superior teaching and research, or outstanding service to the organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to the academic, professional, and personal success of students and alumni
- Research/creative activity
ISE Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award
The Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award is conferred upon exceptional alumni. Recipients are recognized for professional distinction through outstanding leadership, contributions to the field of engineering, creativity, and entrepreneurship; as well as service to society, the professional community, and to the department, college, or university.
- Professional Distinction: Recognized for outstanding leadership and innovation within their field of engineering or industry.
- Contributions to Engineering: Demonstrates significant contributions to the field through technical achievements, advancements, or developments.
- Creativity and Entrepreneurship: Displays entrepreneurial spirit and creativity in problem-solving, business development, or product innovation.
- Service to Society: Actively contributes to societal welfare through engineering solutions, public service, or volunteer efforts.
- Professional Community Service: Engages in leadership or service roles within professional organizations, contributing to the growth and support of the engineering community.
- Support to the Department, College, or University: Provides time, expertise, or resources in service to the ISE department, college, or university, supporting academic growth and student development.
