Arvin Sam (BSIE 2024) is the recipient of the IISE Council of Fellows Undergraduate Scholarship. This is awarded to an ISE student for outstanding academics and leadership.

Sam will earn his Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering in 2024, with a Track Option of Industrial Engineering Fundamentals.

Sam is also in class XXVIII of the elite Hoeft Technology and Management Program, a collaboration between ISE and the Gies College of Business.

About his honor, Sam says, "I am humbled and honoured to have been one of four worldwide recipients of the IISE Council of Fellows Undergraduate Scholarship. This award is a testament to the successful endeavours of the ISE Department at the University of Illinois and the exceptional faculty support I have received throughout my undergraduate studies as an Industrial Engineering student. As the Illinois Chapter of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) begins preparations to host the 2024 North Central Regional Conference, I intend to continue dedicating my time to the success of our organization and remain a substantial ambassador of the ISE Program at Illinois."

Congratulations, Arvin!
