Each year, ISE students earn internships and gain valuable experiences in industry. Recently, students who had internship experiences at top companies were given a chance to share what they had learned with fellow ISE students.

The ISE Department held a “A Lunch with Interns” event on Nov. 13 that allowed ISE students to showcase their past internship experiences and interact with students searching for internships.

Three students gave presentations on their internship experiences: Adam Strole with General Electric, Krishna Somayajula with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Rohan Gupta with Tesla Motors. They spoke about their job duties and what they learned through at their internships. Additionally, they gave students in attendance advice on how to get internships with these companies and what they would recommend to look for in these specific industries.

Justin Gary, advising assistant for ISE, said the event helped students who are currently preparing for the internship recruitment season to better understand how to prepare. He said students were also introduced to the various resources within ISE that can assist them in the internship search.

Following the presentations, students were allowed to ask questions based on their own personal interests and participate in an informal open session with the presenting students.
