Favorite college memory: My favorite college memories have always been the ones that are least expected. All of the campus walks, arboretum visits, VeoRide adventures, Illini Union hangouts, and bursts of laughter during a hard homework set are what I am going to miss the most. I remember working on a difficult lab assignment with my study partners very late at night, and we were all tired and irritable from working so long. We all made the group decision to make the best of the night and force ourselves to learn and have fun with the 25 page report. From there, we picked each other up and carried each other until 6 am the next morning to get it done. The snack breaks, jokes, and camaraderie from that night resonate with me, and I am happy to call those random study partners my best friends today. There's something about struggling and finding the goodness of things with other people, and I will never forget moments like these.

Advice you would give your freshman college self if you could: If I could give myself advice 4 years ago, I would say to enjoy the little things. College has flown by faster than I ever thought it could, and spending time worrying about things all the time isn't the way to go through it. I would say to put the phone (or calculator) down and go do the things that make you happy. The homework assignment or exam will always be waiting at your desk for you, but the lifelong friends and memories will pass faster than you think. Everything is going to be okay, it always falls into place:)
