Steven Ebbing

Steven J Ebbing, President and Founder of the ebbing group, LLC

Steve grew up in Quincy, IL graduating from Christian Brothers HS (now Quincy Notre Dame). He graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in General Engineering with a secondary field of Marketing. He earned an MS in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. Steve met his wife, Linda, in high school, also an Illini (BS in Home Economics/Retailing). They married three weeks after graduation. They raised their three children in Rockford, Illinois; two of three also graduated from the University of Illinois (Abby, BS Material Science and Engineering and Matt, BFA Graphic Design).

In Rockford Steve worked for Sundstrand Aerospace, rising to Department Manager before transferring into manufacturing operations as a plant manager. There he learned and applied Lean Six Sigma techniques. He then worked for Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems in Rockford and New Zeeland, MI, again learning and applying Lean Six Sigma techniques. Job changes took him to Mississippi and San Diego, CA where he worked in Aerospace and Medical Device companies. In CA Steve founded the ebbing group, llc, a boutique Lean Six Sigma consulting company where he facilitated, trained, coached, mentored, and certified numerous client employees. In 2019, he relocated his company to North Carolina and is now winding down a highly successful career and business.

Throughout his career Steve gave back to the communities where he was located.
