Favorite college memory: So many to choose from...........the lifelong friendships that I have maintained starting with the first meet and greet on our dormitory floor.

OK - the Illini beating Magic Johnson and MSU in hoops and I was at the game!

Advice you would give to your college self: Balance the need to socialize with the requirement to build the academic foundation.  You only get one chance to pursue the education, you get a lifetime of friendships.

Be socially responsible, be accountable, and find ways to give back to the community.

Additional comments: You know you have built the right friendships when you endure COVID19 and start ZOOM calls to stay in touch and it's just like you never left the dorm floor or your off campus apartment or house.  True friends are with you for life, and I found them during my U of I experience.
