Brian Truesdale

Brian has over 28 years of industry experience leading and transforming manufacturing businesses in a broad range of markets that include automotive, appliance, foodservice, industrial, energy, and telecommunications. Brian is known for his expertise in business simplification, segmentation, and synthesizing new innovative products from disparate applications and industries. Brian is currently the Group Executive for IDEX Corporation's Fluid & Metering Technologies segment comprised of 18 global operating units with over $1.2B in revenue. Before IDEX, Brian held various leadership roles over 19 years with Illinois Tool Works, 6 years with Marmon Holdings, and 2 years in consulting. As an avid innovator, he has worked with several businesses synthesizing new product concepts and manufacturing processes that have resulted in 15 issued patents and several others pending that have already generated over $50 million in revenue. Brian holds a B.S. Degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has post-graduate studies in New Product Development from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  He was honored as a Distinguished Alumni by the ISE Department of the Grainger College of Engineering in 2018.
