ISE Student Engineering Image Contest

1st Prize—$300
2nd Prize—$100
3rd Prize—$100

All ISE undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit a graphic, visualization, or photograph of one of their own current or recent engineering projects, to win a cash prize and official, wide-spread recognition.

The image may be generated by any means: a computer graphic, photograph, or hand-rendered. The entry may be submitted by a group or individual. The students must own the rights to the image, and must allow ISE to reproduce it—with caption and attributed to the students—on our video screen, website, in our printed Annual Report, and other materials. While ISE will have permission to promote the image, rights will reside with the students.

Images will be judged on visual impact, ingenuity, and/or relevance to the ISE engineering disciplines.

The graphic should be submitted either in scalable vector format (.eps, .pdf., .ai) or a bitmap sized sized 9 x 11 inches at 300 dpi (jpg, tif, etc.). The submission must include a brief text explaining the engineering project and how the graphic was created. We will accept motion graphics or animation only if accompanied by a still or screenshot that meets the specifications above.

Please direct questions to William Gillespie at or in person in 107 TB.

Submit your graphic and caption to on or before this date.
