As the world grows more interconnected, companies are increasingly realizing the value of a diverse workplace. A variety of perspectives and frames of thought lead to greater innovation, improved problem solving, and products or services that better fit the customers’ needs. New initiatives and programs designed to recruit and retain diverse teams are being created and launched at a growing rate. While programs and initiatives are helpful, research indicates that daily actions, both conscious and unconscious, cultivate the everyday experience for employees.

Evan Fowler, Senior Program Manager for Diversity & Inclusion at Ameren, will discuss Ameren’s industry-leading Diversity and Inclusion efforts and will explore some of the more successful strategies for creating an inclusive workplace, where all employees feel engaged and empowered to contribute.
